Michele Blethen is originally from Lafayette, Indiana, but moved to Holmes Beach, Florida with her parents and sister in 1986. A fun fact about Michele is that her first teenage job was working as a cashier at the old Foodway grocery store on Anna Maria Island, Manatee County, Florida. Her family then moved to West Bradenton, where she graduated from Manatee High School, joined the United States Navy and attended SCF, when it was still called Manatee Community College, of course. She earned an Associate in Science Degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, which led her to providing therapy in various skilled nursing facilities throughout the Gulf coast, including Bradenton, Sarasota, Saint Petersburg, Clearwater and Brandon.

Michele served her country in the military as a Hospital Corpsman and her veteran status is one of her most proud professional accomplishments. However, she is now dedicated to serve Manatee County and the North River community, where she has resided for the last 26 years. As a Realtor she is aiming to provide exceptional real estate service with zest, enthusiasm and attention to detail. She has a passion for community engagement and continuous education, regarding our local market.  

Michele and her husband were married in the Longboat Key Chapel. He’s a veteran as well and owns a local mattress business on Cortez Road. They have two beautiful daughters, one graduated from UCF (University of Central Florida) and the other from USF (University of South Florida), so they literally had the “War On I-4” going on. They love watching sports together, mostly soccer, football, hockey and men’s college basketball. The women in the family feel most at home on a favorite local beach or two, but they all share the passion of boating. They often take their sweet Golden Retriever with them, as they frequent popular sandbars in the bay area, dine at restaurants along the water, and enjoy the amazing Florida sunsets.
